Documentation of Educational Fishery Activities

Each year the Kenaitze Indian Tribe hosts Kenaitze educational programs, summer fish camps for our youth, and other educational programs for the Tribe. Additionally we are requested by other Alaska Native organizations to provide the opportunity for educational activities at our fishery.

Please document these activities by furnishing me with a report which includes the following information for each activity:

  1. Name of organization or program conducting Educational Fishery program
  2. Date of activity
  3. Location of activity
  4. Number of participants
  5. Type of education provided by KIT staff and guests
  6. Number of fish caught and how it was distributed
  7. Photographs to document activities

The information gathered from these reports is included in our yearly Educational Fishery report which is required by the Department of Fish and Game. The Fishing Permit that we receive from the State of Alaska is for an Educational Fishery and we must provide documentation that educational activities are conducted at our fishery each year in order to receive our permit.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Any Tribal members wanting to sign up for the net please contact Peggy Segura.
